6th INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON MINE SAFETY SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING

The International Symposium on Mine Safety Science and Engineering (ISMSSE) held in Harbin, hosted by Heilongjiang University of Science and technology from 18th august to 20th august 2023, this symposium brings together researchers,and educators from around the world to exchange ideas and share experiences on various aspects of mine safety.

Prof “Xueqiu He” Chair of ISMSSE, University of Science and Technology Beijing and Prof “Hani Mitri” International Chair of ISMSSE, McGill University Canada commence the symposium with their eloquent speeches.

Dr “Majid khan” Secretary of ICMSSE, University of Science and Technology Beijing presented his lecture about his new invention Seismo-Frac Model which plays an important role in the development of Mine Safety Science and Engineering in the New Era.

International students “Osama baig”, “Abdullahi Yakubu” and “Naolterefe Tilaye” from Department of Safety Science and Engineering, University of Science and Technology Beijing actively participated in the symposium and explore new directions and opportunities for future research and development.

The symposium was attended by more than 300 delegates from 18 countries and regions, including Australia, Canada, China, Finland, France, Germany, India, Japan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Pakistan, Poland, Russia, South Africa, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, and United States.

The symposium has a great success and received positive feedback from the participants. The next ISMSSE will be held in United states in University of Pennsylvania next year.
